It's 1959, and four-year-old Luvaine Rushford, from Perth - the event's youngest competitor - is the very picture of concentration.
With her tongue firmly between her teeth, and her wee feet and sporran flying, she's doing her best to impress the judges.
Here's hoping that, as well as picking up her crossed swords, she also picked up a medal for her efforts.
