Top Glasgow hairdresser Daniel E Pediani, seen here in action in 1948, was a master of his craft. Operating from his 'Little Paris' salon, at 14 Fitzroy Place, Sauchiehall Street, he attended to the barnets of the city's poshest ladies.
The Pediani family opened their first Glasgow salon in 1916, before opening other family salons throughout the West of Scotland.
Daniel here was a real showman, winning two Grand Prix at the world hairdressing championships in Paris.
His son still runs a salon, in Atlas Road, Springburn.
