Connell's, a long-established city tailors, was showing off its latest range of fancy waistcoats in 1953.
With shops in Trongate and Renfield Street, it was a favourite with well-dressed Glasgow guys, and even attracted celebrity clients. Hollywood stars Donald O'Connor and Lou Costello both dropped by when they visited Glasgow. We suspect that might be a pic of one of their celebrity clients in the window, bottom left.
Almost as nice as the waistcoats is that lovely wee terrazzo-tiled entrance to the shop.
