The PS Waverley was the centre of attention when she tied-up at Rothesay Pier, on Bute, in the 1950s, with the grand old lady surrounded by a flotilla of rubberneckers in oarie boats.
Built in 1946, and now the last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world, Waverley is now owned by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society, and operates regular excursions around the British coast.
