“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.” - Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows.
That classic quote perfectly sums up this picture, taken by Queen's Park pond, in 1955. The four lads - two with pond yachts, two with the all-important 'rescue hooks' - have just enjoyed a day's sailing.
Voyage over, it's time to head home for tea, and a night dreaming of adventures on the high seas.
