Bahookies in the air, eyes peering through the pier, these little tiddlers are looking to land the catch of the day.
It's 1956, and they're doon on their hunkers on Rothesay Pier, on Bute. If they're not careful, they'll end up with tar and oil stains on their good holiday breeks, meaning there will be hell to pay when they get back to their digs.
C'mon, cough up, how many of us had one of those wee fishing reels, with the orange twine line? And how many fish did you ever catch?
All I ever seemed to catch were my fingers, I was forever getting snecked by the barbs on the hook!
